Description

Fredrix Marker Canvas is a smooth artist’s canvas primed with a unique, bright white, ink-receptive surface. Its special coating is bleed-proof and preserves the vibrant colours without any sinking.
Fredrix Marker Canvas will take inks, acrylics, spray paint, alcohol-based & water-based markers, and paint markers. Paint-filled markers such as Molotow and Aerocolor Liners perform well on the canvas: they remain wet long enough for blending and wet-in-wet techniques, yet dry water-resistant and firmly set into the special coating. Fine detail and broad areas are both easily achievable. Detail can also be successfully added using “fineliner“ pens, like Molotow Black Liner and Staedtler Pigment Liner.
Alcohol- and water-based markers, such as Copic and Tombow, bind well into the coating yet remain soluble, so can be re-wet and blended using another marker. Special effects can be produced by working back into the layers this way.
Fredrix Marker Canvas expands the possibilities of marker art by offering a unique surface: one that is a lot less absorbent than paper, is more durable and suited to more mixed media, while providing the receptive surface that all markers like.
Sheets of Marker Canvas can be mounted onto card, wood or canvas using Golden Soft Gel Gloss.
