Using modern techniques, the top-quality hog bristle is formed into an interlocking effect that ensures clean shape and excellent response. The Maestro-2 brushes hold plenty of colour in their "flags" and can be used for both sensitive and robust work with oil colour. Their distinctive black & red handles are perfectly balanced.

Bristle is the work-horse of oil painting, with the rule of thumb being: when the surface is dry, use bristle brushes; when wet, use soft brushes. Bristle brushes can be used for acrylic also, however acrylic paint is more difficult to clean from bristle than from synthetic fibres.

Cared for properly, Maestro-2 brushes will retain their shape for many years.
