Hahnemuhle Professional is a range of the very highest quality watercolour papers and blocks, selected from Hahnemühle’s Collection range.
Hahnemuhle Professional is 100% cotton rag, genuine mould-made and surface sized, available in 300gsm and 640gsm weights, cold pressed, rough and hot pressed. The selection of the best raw materials and exclusively natural filler materials gives the Hahnemuhle Professional 300gsm and 640gsm papers their unparalleled quality. A carefully chosen variety of cotton offers extremely strong fibres and incomparable purity. These prized cotton papers are characterised by a very resilient paper surface that is well suited for demanding watercolour techniques.
Surface sizing improves the durability so the fibres do not lift, rub off or loosen, even when applying multiple layers of colour, or when using masking fluids and tapes. Surface sizing also holds paint closer to the surface of the paper for increased brilliance and control, especially for wet-on-wet paintings.
Hahnemuhle Professional 300gsm and 640gsm are vegan, highly resistant to ageing, acid-free and archival.
