50 Years in business is a big milestone for any company. The Harris family owners and staff of Gordon Harris are extremely proud that their business has not only survived five decades but grown from humble beginnings to become NZ’s largest and best known art supplies specialist.

1980

The business outgrew its first location in Greenwoods Corner and moved to Newmarket, where it still thrives today.

1991

Littlejohns, a respected art supply store in Wellington, joined the Gordon Harris family.

2000

A new store opened on Symonds Street, Auckland, to serve the city's growing number of art students.

2003

Littlejohns name was officially changed to Gordon Harris.

2004

New branches opened in Albany and Hamilton, bringing creativity closer to more Kiwis.

2006

Gordon Harris spread its wings to the South Island with a store in Christchurch.

2007

In 2007, Well respected art suppliers 'Studio Art Supplies' joined the Gordon Harris Family.

2022

The Gordon Harris webstore launched, making the amazing range of art supplies accessible to customers all over the country.
