A versatile range of affordable, vibrant oil paints with excellent lightfastness. Akademie oil colours are quick drying and have a smooth, heavy body consistency.
Schmincke Akademie Oil Paint is a fine artists' oil colour range containing quality artists' pigments in high concentration, with excellent lightfastness (4 and 5 stars only). Brilliant shades can be obtained in mixtures due to the large number of single-pigment colours. With Akademie Oil Paint, Schmincke offers a harmonious colour range for beginners and heavy users. High luminosity, a harmonious colouristic with translucent to opaque colours, are only some of the main features of this colour range.
Due to a balanced formulation using premium linseed oil (or sunflower oil for the white shades), Akademie oil colours offer a fast and uniform drying time throughout the range. Akademie Oil Paints have a heavy body consistency for expressive brushwork and can also be thinned with water for smoother applications and flowing washes.
Akademie Oil Paints can be combined and mixed with other oil colours and customised using Schmincke oil painting mediums.
