KHADI HANDMADE PAPER

Khadi Papers is a brand rooted in an art school background, with a deep focus on paper as an essential artistic material. In the early 1980s, the founders were among the first to introduce Indian handmade papers to artists and designers in London, working closely with skilled papermakers across India, as well as in Nepal and Bhutan. More than two decades ago, they established their own paper mill in southern India in partnership with master papermaker Vasudevan, combining traditional knowledge with a commitment to quality and sustainability.

Located in a cotton-growing region, the mill uses locally sourced cotton to produce distinctive handmade papers, while also supporting local communities through employment and sustainable practices. Today, Khadi Papers is widely respected for its beautifully crafted, environmentally conscious papers, trusted by artists around the world.
