Screen Printing Medium – 500ml A versatile, colourless medium designed for use with all water-based screen printing inks, including acrylics and gouache. Pasty texture Significantly slows drying time Maintains paint consistency Water-miscible Transparent Product Details: This ready-to-use screen printing medium should be mixed with water-based paints at a ratio of 10–50%, depending on the desired viscosity. Adding around 20% medium can extend drying time by approximately 70%, allowing for smoother application and better control. The colour value of your paint remains unchanged at recommended ratios. Do not use the medium on its own. It can be thinned with water if needed. Usage Notes: Clean tools with water or water and soap Avoid use below 10°C (object and room temperature) Reseal container immediately after use Store in a cool, dry place away from frost Always carry out individual tests before large-scale use Ideal for screen printing and other printing techniques using water-based paints. ABOUT SCHMINCKE Schmincke began at the end of the 19th Century, when the colour chemists Josef Horadam and Hermann Schmincke saw an opportunity to provide the artists of the day with a truly superior artists oil, and so set out to Italy where traditional studio painting was still taught, in search of the nearly forgotten resin oil formulations. In 1881, at the Academy of Fine Art in Florence, they secured the precision formulations of the Professor Cesare Mussini, a guardian of the old masters techniques, and on these formulations, the two founded their manufacturing establishment under the name H.Schmincke and Co. In subsequent years, artists’ colours to suit all techniques were introduced, such as Josef Horadam’s patent watercolours of 1892. Through the entire 20th century, every generation of owner has lead the company to its current position as one of the worlds leading manufacturers of finest artists’ colour.
