Ampersand Museum Series Claybord is made using premium warp-resistant 3mm artist hardboard, sealed and protected with Ampersand’s own Arhiva-Seal, and coated with an acid-free kaolin clay ground. The ultra-smooth, highly absorbent surface allows for unlimited techniques: etching, erasing, reworking, adding color, and scratching it away to add contrast, texture, and fine detail.

Perfect for mixed media, inks, acrylic, graphite, fine detail, heavy impasto, collage, airbrush, gouache, egg tempera, scratchboard, printmaking techniques, mounting, and more. Claybord's absorbent coating will result in oil paints drying very rapidly and to a matte finish.
