Charcoal pencils that have black pigment and little wax added to offer the accuracy of a graphite pencil with the black of a charcoal.
Produces a shiny black, smudge-proof stroke.
The Cretacolor Nero Oil Pencils are oil based and, therefore, water-resistant.
Available in five different grades, extra soft, soft, medium, hard and extra hard.

The Nero pencils, sticks and leads are a mixture of charcoal, plant oils and pigment, that provide a dense black line, offering greater control than charcoal and greater tonal range than graphite. It's perfect for artists for whom graphite is not black enough.
