Golden

Golden Artist Colours is a family-founded and employee-owned manufacturer of professional artist paints and creative materials based in upstate New York. Established by Sam Golden in 1980, the company has earned global respect for its exceptional quality, pigment strength and performance, becoming one of the world’s leading innovators in acrylic paints, mediums, gels and specialty products designed to support artists at every level.

From the beginning, Golden has focused on developing products through close collaboration with working artists and rigorous manufacturing standards, resulting in materials that offer outstanding consistency, lightfastness and versatility for studio, fine art, mixed media and experimental techniques.

In 2004, Gordon Harris Ltd introduced Golden acrylics to the New Zealand art community following strong interest from local professional and practicing artists who had experienced Golden’s extensive range overseas. Since then, Golden has become a preferred choice for many of New Zealand’s professional, emerging, recreational and student artists thanks to its world-class quality and broad creative possibilities.
