NEWLY FORMULATED Gloss Waterborne Varnish.
100% acrylic, removable varnish with UV filtering capabilities.
The new Golden Waterborne Varnish replaces Polymer Varnish, and is the same or improved in UV filtering, removability, water resistance, flexibility and ease of use. It uses a different technology to its predecessor, being a 100% acrylic, while Polymer Varnish was an acrylic-styrene co-polymer. This gives it superior UV resistance, higher gloss/depth, and makes it less yellowing over time.
It is strongly recommended to practice new products and techniques on test paintings, before applying the varnish onto actual artwork.
Varnish provides a layer of protection on artwork that resists retention of dirt and dust. A true “varnish” can be removed to facilitate cleaning. Gloss Waterborne Varnish is removable in addition to containing Ultra Violet Light Stabilizers (UVLS) to provide protection from exposure to sunlight.
GOLDEN Waterborne Varnish is for use on interior acrylic paintings and can be applied without the need for harsh solvents for thinning, cleanup or removal, or ventilation and other precautions necessary when working with mineral spirit varnish.
