About the Designs:

The elegant blue & white ceramic designs featured in this set are sourced from the wares created in the Hizen region in Kyushu, a place which held significant importance in the early porcelain industry of Japan. The exclusive Nabeshima type ceramics were often presented as annual tributes to the shogun in Edo (modern-day Tokyo). The vibrant design depicting jars on these dishes and ceramics exemplify the renowned craftsmanship and vibrant hues typical of Nabeshima kiln porcelain, reflecting meticulous attention to detail and exceptional quality standards.
