To paint onto silk you need to create barriers and set aside cerrtain areas before applying your colours. To create the barriers, use the Pebeo waterbased Gutta which has a thick consistency.
Use gutta directly from the tube and nozzle, they flow readily onto silk fibres forming a barrier to the colour.
All the guttas can be washed after having been iron fixed with the exception of the colourless gutta which is designed to wash out leaving a white line on the fabric where it has been applied.
